Deconstructed Turkey Burger

Deconstructed turkey burger

Ok, so this isn’t the prettiest dish I’ve ever made, but the flavors are fantastic.

The original plan was to make turkey burgers with feta and chickpeas, but the turkey was still frozen! Grr. This is a deconstructed turkey burger with pasta. I wasn’t planning on using pasta, which is why there are two types… oops. I’m recommending this recipe because it tastes yummy.

What You Will Need:

15 oz can of garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
½ lb bite size pasta
½ C applesauce
½ tsp curry
½ tsp ground coriander
½ tsp pumpkin spice
2 oz crumbled feta cheese
1 lb ground turkey
salt and pepper
½ sweet onion, finely chopped
1 large garlic clove

1) Brown turkey. 2) Cook pasta according to package directions. 3) Cook onion and garlic in skillet with turkey. 4) Season with curry, coriander, pumpkin spice, pepper and salt. 5) Mix applesauce, garbanzo beans, pasta, turkey mixture and feta in large bowl. 6) Serve.
